Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our shop and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

Customers are asked to register with us for ease of contact and enable customer tracking of deliveries.

We accept credit card payment for delivery within the UK. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch, JCB and Solo. If you are outside the UK please email usdetails of your requirements. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

Please note transactions on credit card and debit card statements will appear as being paid to "Selex Communications Ltd" which is our holding company. Please make all cheques payable to "Selex Communications Ltd".

All orders are confirmed by email providing product description, price and delivery.

VAT
We can ship VAT free to Channel Islands and to Business customers in Europe providing business VAT number is provided.

Our shipping charges are as follows:

Courier Service up to 10 kilos and/or Special Delivery up to 2 kilos - £8.00

Europe (Band B): Holland, Belguim
Courier Service up to 10 kilos - £26

Europe (Band C): Germany, France
Courier Service up to 10 kilos - £36

For European delivery use "DHL" International Courier.

Please note all our goods require a signature on delivery and cannot be left unsigned for.

Delivery Schedule
For the majority of UK postcodes, (excluding Remote Scottish locations/Northern Ireland) orders received by Midday will be delivered within 2 working days provided the item is in stock. UK offshore ie Shetland, Orkney, Isle of Man etc will take three to five working days. International orders will take longer, please send us an email or contact us on +44 (0) 1642 633638 with your requirements for a quote and further details.

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will order it for you. You will always be emailed with the details and as an option the right to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are handled by a secure server and encrypted before they travel over the Internet. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Privacy Policy
Redcar Electronics Marine does not disclose buyer’s information to third parties without the buyer’s approval and complies with the 1998 Data Protection Act. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.

Returns Policy
We hope that you are pleased with your purchase from Redcar Electronics Marine. However, we understand that there are occasions when you need to return goods to us. Before returning any item for whatever reason, please study the options given below.

Goods Faulty on Arrival:
If your goods are faulty on arrival, you have 14 days to inform us of the fault. We will advise how the matter can be resolved. You will be entitled to a repair, replacement or full refund and we will be responsible for any carriage costs. This may involve returning the item to the manufacturer for replacement/repair. Please do not send items back to Redcar Electronics Marine without our prior authorisation as they will be refused at our logistics centre.

Goods Damaged in Transit:
If your goods were damaged in transit, we request that you report it to us within 7 days. If goods are visibly damaged on receipt, its best to sign the delivery note accordingly. Once the damaged item is received back into our warehouse, it will be inspected. We will advise within two working days how the order can be completed to your satisfaction.

Goods Faulty after Arrival:
If your goods develop a fault but it’s more than 14 days since receipt, then you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, a full or partial refund dependant upon the circumstances. We reserve the right to inspect the items before agreeing to the above and will not be responsible for misuse, accidental damage or fair wear and tear. Please contact us to discuss the options. Provided your product is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a warranty repair. This may involve returning the faulty item to the manufacturer in accordance with the terms of the warranty.

If you have changed your mind:
If you have simply changed your mind about your order and you wish to return your goods, then in line with the Distance Selling Directive (DSD) you can do so provided you inform us of this decision within 7 days from receipt. The goods must be in their original packaging and must be ‘as new’ when returned to us. Once you’ve informed us of your decision to return goods under DSD, you have 28 days to do so at your own expense. Please retain proof of postage in case of dispute. Once goods are received at Redcar Electronics Marine, subject to satisfactory inspection, we will issue a full refund for the cost of the goods excluding carriage, to your original payment method. (Return payment within 30 days of satisfactory receipt). Please note this policy does have limitations and does not apply to software products or business customers.

Complaints
Despite our best efforts sometimes things can go wrong and we would like to know in order to put matters right as soon as possible. Should you have a complaint about any aspect of our service then please contact us by any of the above means stating your order details, the nature of your complaint, your full address and contact details including telephone number.

Warranty Terms
Product manufacturers provide differing warranty terms. We provide our customers with a warranty no less than that offered by the original manufacturer. For example, with the exception of the battery, GME guarantee their EPIRBS for five years. If therefore, you require warranty information about a particular product, please contact us.

Problems with some equipment are covered during the warranty period by the manufacturer’s UK service centre.

Statutory Rights
By placing an order with us over the Internet you are entering into a legally binding contract in accordance with the above terms and conditions, however, this does not affect your Statutory Rights which include but are not limited to:

Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom (i.e. England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). You agree, as we do, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
